We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook for the Grill and Saute Station. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a strong understanding of kitchen operations. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in meal preparation, ensuring that each dish is prepared to perfection with core temand meets our high standards of quality and presentation. This position requires teamwork, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining food safety standards.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook menu items on the grill and saute stations according to recipes and plating standards.
Set up, stock, and maintain all food stations with necessary supplies.
Ensure proper portion control, cooking temperatures, and presentation for every dish.
Work efficiently during busy service periods, communicating clearly with team members.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workstation, following food safety and sanitation guidelines.
Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper handling and storage of food items.
Participate in daily cleaning tasks and closing duties for the kitchen.
Stock, label, and rotate items in the pantry station to ensure freshness and avoid waste.
Communicate with other kitchen staff for smooth kitchen flow and timing.
Qualifications
Previous experience as a grill or saute cook in a high-volume kitchen preferred.
Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, knife skills, and kitchen equipment.
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Food Handler certification (if required by local regulations).
