We are looking for a nice person, who happens to be a skilled chef, to join our team. We need someone who is reliable, has experience working a hot line in a nice restaurant, and cares about making great food. We have a very small and tight-knit crew and we need someone to work 3-4 nights starting in January. We're a highly seasonal restaurant that focuses on quality over trends. We're looking for someone who has space to grow and wants to learn and improve.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards
Assist in food preparation, including chopping, slicing, and assembling ingredients
Ensure all food is handled safely and stored properly in accordance with food safety regulations
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment and workstations
Follow proper food handling procedures to prevent cross-contamination and ensure hygiene
Collaborate with team members to deliver efficient service during busy hours
Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to management
Adhere to all health and safety guidelines to uphold a safe working environment
Qualifications
Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environments preferred
Knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods
Understanding of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality presentation
Excellent teamwork and communication skills
Flexibility to work various shifts as needed, including weekends and holidays if required
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
