We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook Lead to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. This role involves preparing ingredients, cooking meals, and ensuring that all food is prepared in accordance with health regulations and restaurant standards.
Duties
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications.
Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and measuring spices.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area, ensuring all equipment is sanitized and ready for use.
Follow food safety protocols to ensure the safe handling of all food products.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and communicate needs to management.
Assist in training new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and safety practices.
Skills
Experience in the food industry or restaurant environment is preferred.
Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for food handling.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members.
Proficiency in various cooking techniques and meal preparation methods.
A positive attitude with a willingness to help others in the kitchen as needed.
