Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cook to join our culinary team. The successful candidate will be groomed for the Jr. Sous Chef position. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to providing high-quality meal preparation in a fast-paced restaurant environment. As a Cook, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our dishes are prepared to perfection, adhering to food safety standards while delivering exceptional service to our guests.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and menu specifications. Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety and sanitation guidelines. Assist in the planning and execution of daily menus, including special dietary needs. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of food items. Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service during peak hours. Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols. Participate in regular kitchen meetings to discuss menu changes, specials, and operational improvements.

Experience

Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred. Knowledge of food handling, meal preparation, and cooking techniques is essential. Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in the restaurant industry. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour
