Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our kitchen team. Only candidates with experience in food preparation and a passion for delivering high-quality dishes in a fast-paced restaurant environment. 2 -3 years of work experience as a cook in a restaurant is required
Responsibilities:
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food
- Cook and plate menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
- Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
- Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and taking out trash
- Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies as needed
- Cook's food items by grilling, frying, sauteing and other cooking methods to specified recipes and standards
- Maintain cleanliness and complies with food sanitation requirements by properly handling food and ensuring correct storage
- Plan menus and determine size of food portions and presentation of food
- Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
- Estimate food requirements and costs
- Order supplies and equipment
Experience:
- Proven experience as a Line Cook in the food industry or a similar role
- Knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
- Understanding of food safety practices
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
