Duties
Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes, standards, and customer specifications with precision and flair
Assist in menu planning by suggesting new dishes and seasonal specials to keep offerings fresh and exciting
Maintain food safety and sanitation standards at all times, ensuring a clean and organized workspace
Handle food preparation tasks such as chopping, slicing, marinating, and portioning ingredients efficiently
Support catering events by preparing large quantities of food while maintaining quality control
Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal service during busy hours, ensuring timely delivery of orders
Practice excellent food handling techniques, including proper knife skills and hygiene protocols, to ensure safety and quality
Qualifications
Proven experience in a culinary environment, preferably with fine dining or restaurant experience
Strong knife skills and proficiency in food preparation techniques
Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
Experience with meal preparation, cooking methods, and food industry standards
Background in dietary department or dietary aide experience is a plus
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen setting
Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward serving guests and supporting colleagues
