We are seeking a skilled and passionate Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with experience in fine dining and catering environments. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality meals to our guests while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and hygiene.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards
Assist in menu planning and development, ensuring seasonal and local ingredients are utilized
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper food handling and storage practices
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours
Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and communicate needs to management
Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper use of kitchen equipment and adherence to food safety guidelines
Participate in catering events as needed, providing exceptional service and meal preparation
Experience
Previous experience as a Line Cook or in a similar kitchen role is preferred
Dietary department or dietary aide experience is a plus
Strong culinary skills with an emphasis on food preparation, cooking techniques, and knife skills
Familiarity with menu planning, fine dining service, and catering operations
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices within the food industry
Restaurant experience is highly desirable, with a proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
