Responsibilities

Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards. Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and guidelines. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper food handling and storage. Assist in the meal preparation process by chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients as required. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours. Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and communicate needs to management. Follow all health and safety protocols while operating kitchen equipment. Help train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and food safety practices.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a cook or in a similar role within the restaurant or food service industry is preferred. Strong knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in food handling. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Passion for cooking and willingness to learn new techniques in meal preparation.
