We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to delivering high-quality meals in a fast-paced pub environment. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in food preparation, ensuring that each dish meets our standards for taste and presentation.

Duties

- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards.
- Assist in the overall kitchen operations, including food preparation and meal assembly.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations.
- Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist with ordering as needed.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Follow proper food handling techniques to minimize waste and ensure quality.
- Participate in training new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.

Requirements

- Proven experience as a cook in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen equipment.
- Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively in a busy kitchen setting.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
- A passion for the culinary arts and a desire to grow within the food industry.

This role requires weekend and evening availability, as well as reliable transportation. Must be able to lift 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Apprenticeship

Pay: $19.00-$23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 28 - 36 per week
