We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in meal preparation, ensuring that each dish is prepared to perfection and served promptly. This position requires strong teamwork, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Responsibilities
Prepare, cook, and present dishes in accordance with Ricky's standards and recipes
Perform food prep tasks such as chopping, portioning, marinating, and setting up the line
Handle dish washing and general cleaning duties to maintain kitchen hygiene
Assist in maintaining inventory levels and inform management when supplies are low
Ensure all food is prepared safely, cleanly, and efficiently
Monitor food storage and maintain proper rotation and labeling
Follow food safety standards and work safely with kitchen equipment
Collaborate with other kitchen staff and support the team during peak hours
Maintain a clean and organized workstation at all times
Experience
Minimum 3-4 years of experience
as a Cook in a similar casual dine-in or full-service restaurant environment.
Strong knowledge of North American and Canadian-style breakfast, lunch, and dinner cuisine.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure kitchen environment.
Excellent time management and multitasking skills.
Must be able to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Positive attitude, team-oriented, and a strong work ethic.
Food Safe Level 1 (required)
Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
