Food preparation and menu
Prepare and cook various curry dishes and other Indian items according to established recipes and quality standards.
Develop new recipes and create specials, sometimes collaborating with the head chef or management.
Ensure consistent portion sizes and a high standard of presentation for all dishes.
Kitchen management and operations
Manage kitchen inventory, including ordering supplies, monitoring stock levels, and checking the quality of received goods.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, enforcing strict sanitation and health and safety regulations.
Monitor and control food costs and minimize waste.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff and management to ensure smooth service.
Quality control and compliance
Ensure all food prepared meets the restaurant's quality and authenticity standards.
Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations, and report any safety hazards or defective equipment.
