JOB DESCRIPTION: To be able to run the line proficiently, along with assisting the Chef with daily operations and food preparations while keeping a safe and clean working environment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Execute daily kitchen operations
Proficiently run the line for day-to-day restaurant orders
Food prep for all types of functions
Maintain clean and sanitized and organized working area at all times
Prepare foods according to the menus and contracts
Assist Chef with receiving and rotating stock
Ensuring supplies are available
Responsible for clean-up duties at end of shift
Maintaining all Kitchen equipment cleanliness and annual maintenance.
Preparing recipes as directed
Setup and tear down of food related stations for events
Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Previous experience in a restaurant kitchen is an asset
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:
Must be available for various shifts including evenings, weekends, holidays and late nights
Able to work with a team and independently
Able to lift up to 50 lbs
Proficient knife skills
Knowledge of kitchen equipment and functions
Knowledge of nutrition and dietary requirements
WORKING CONDITIONS:
To be able to work long hours while on your feet in a hot humid environment
To be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Must have the ability to execute work efficiently in high stress situations
