Overview

The Line Cook plays a key role in creating exceptional culinary offerings for our guests at LaunchPad golf. You will be responsible for preparing, cooking, and plating dishes for our guests to help create an exceptional experience. You will be responsible for station cleanliness, food safety, and recipe consistency, ensuring our guests have a consistent experience each time.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Day to day food preparation following recipes and standards Follow recipes, portion control, and plating guidelines Workstation stocked, prepared and clean Following FIFO method to maximize freshness and reduce waste Properly receiving and storing of items in the back of house Assist in food inventory and control Ensure food prep areas, equipment and utensils are kept in accordance with food safety and hygiene guidelines Support fellow staff members with assistance if needed Ability to be agile between areas of the business to support the team Ability to work a variety of shifts including events and corporate bookings Other duties as assigned or required

Requirements

1 - 2 years cooking experience in a high volume restaurant Post-secondary culinary diploma/degree is considered an asset Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Ability to lift items weighing up to 50lbs Excellent communication, time management, and organization Ability to stay flexible and eager to learn A strong team player who isn't afraid to show appreciation and give support to fellow staff members Highly dependable. We want to count on you! Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, or holidays

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $17.00-$24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
