Duties
Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards
Assist with menu planning and ingredient sourcing to ensure freshness and variety
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations
Handle food prep tasks such as chopping, slicing, marinating, and portioning ingredients
Ensure proper food handling and storage procedures are followed at all times
Collaborate with team members to deliver efficient service during busy hours
Assist with catering events and special functions as needed
Serve dishes promptly and professionally to guests or servers
Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to management
Experience
Previous experience in a restaurant or culinary environment is preferred, especially in fine dining or catering settings
Knowledge of dietary department practices and dietary aide experience is a plus
Strong skills in food preparation, cooking techniques, and food handling safety protocols
Familiarity with menu planning, meal preparation, and food service operations
Proven ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality
Excellent knife skills and proficiency in various cooking methods
Experience with food safety regulations and sanitation standards in the food industry
