FiSH&SiPS are seeking a part-time line cook for some evenings during the week and also Saturdays .
We are closed every Sunday and Monday and operating hours are;
Tuesday-Saturday 12-8pm
No late nights!
This job would suit students or anyone looking for part-time employment during afternoon/evening hours.
Busy, fast-paced kitchen with a fairly simple menu, we have a good group of staff in place and a friendly work environment. Some experience appreciated, but not a deal-breaker as training will be provided.
Some prep, but mostly cooking and preparing meals on the line. Uniform provided.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards.
Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet service demands.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including proper food handling and storage practices.
Assist with inventory management, including ordering and stocking supplies as needed.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient service and communication during meal preparation.
Follow all health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
Experience
Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is appreciated but not a deal-breaker.
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and meal presentation.
Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices for food handling.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen setting.
Excellent teamwork skills and the ability to communicate effectively with other staff members.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.20-$22.39 per hour
Expected hours: 15 - 25 per week
