We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a strong understanding of kitchen operations. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in food preparation and cooking, ensuring that each dish meets our high standards of quality and presentation. This position requires both teamwork and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards
Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area
Assist in meal preparation and presentation for service
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service
Handle food products safely, following proper food handling procedures
Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, notifying management when restocking is needed
Participate in training new kitchen staff as needed
Qualifications
Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment is preferred
Strong knowledge of cooking techniques and food preparation methods
Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
A passion for the food industry and commitment to delivering high-quality meals
Experience with serving or customer service is a plus
