Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have experience in food preparation and a passion for delivering high-quality dishes in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Duties: - Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, peeling, and chopping - Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff - Follow recipes and presentation specifications - Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently - Ensure a clean and sanitary work environment at all times - Monitor food stock and place orders when there are shortages Experience: - Proven experience as a Line Cook in a restaurant or similar setting - Knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures - Understanding of food safety practices - Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment - Excellent time management skills Skills: - Cooking skills - Kitchen operations knowledge - Food preparation expertise - Experience in the restaurant industry - Ability to work collaboratively with kitchen staff - Proficiency in meal preparation techniques - Strong food handling practices - Knowledge of food safety standards - Familiarity with food service protocols - Understanding of the food industry
