We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking and a strong understanding of food safety and preparation techniques. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality meals to our guests while maintaining the standards of our restaurant. Responsibilities
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and guidelines.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment.
Assist in meal preparation, including chopping, slicing, and marinating ingredients.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and communicate needs to management.
Help train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and food handling procedures.
Adhere to all health and safety regulations within the kitchen.
Skills
Proven experience as a cook in a restaurant or food service environment.
Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
Ability to prepare various types of cuisine with attention to detail.
Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
Strong communication skills for effective teamwork in a busy kitchen setting.
Familiarity with kitchen equipment and tools, including ovens, grills, fryers, and knives.
Ability to work under pressure while maintaining quality standards.
A passion for cooking and willingness to learn new techniques.
