Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team for 30-35 hours per week, must be able to work early mornings! The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with a keen understanding of food safety and handling practices. This role is essential in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently, delivering high-quality meals to our guests.

Responsibilities

Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, chopping, and measuring food items. Cook menu items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring consistency in taste and presentation. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, adhering to food safety regulations. Assist in the setup and breakdown of the kitchen before and after service. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service. Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and communicate needs to management. Follow all health and safety guidelines while handling food products.

Requirements

Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment required. Familiarity with food safety standards and best practices in food handling. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced high volume kitchen environment. Superior communication skills and attention to detail required. Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards working with others. Looking for someone to open restaurant for catering, Start times will vary between 7am and 9am. Flexibility to work various shifts, including the occasional evening, or weekends. A passion for the culinary arts and commitment to delivering high-quality food standards in meals.
