As a Line Cook at Railway Chai House, you'll bring authentic Indian street flavors to life -- from sizzling snacks to steaming cups of Karak Chai. You'll play a key role in preparing and presenting our signature Chai, Sandwiches, Chaat, and Rice Plates, while maintaining the nostalgic railway-station vibe our guests love.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and cook all menu items including Chai, sandwiches, chaat, snacks, and rice plates following Railway Chai House recipes and presentation standards.
Operate kitchen stations such as grill, fryer, chai counter, and snack prep area with efficiency and consistency.
Ensure food quality, taste, and freshness for every order served.
Follow proper hygiene and food safety procedures including labeling, temperature control, and station cleanliness.
Work efficiently during rush hours and communicate clearly with the front-of-house team to manage order flow.
Assist in daily prep (cutting vegetables, boiling chai, stocking ingredients, etc.) and help in cleaning and closing duties.
Uphold Railway Chai House values -- hospitality, nostalgia, and a love for authentic Indian chai culture.
Skills & Qualifications
1-2 years of experience as a Line Cook or Kitchen Staff in Subway,Tim Hortons or restaurant setting (Indian cuisine or street food experience is an asset).
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Basic understanding of food handling and safety procedures.
Strong communication skills and reliability.
Passion for chai, Indian flavors, and creating memorable guest experiences.
