We are looking for a hardworking and enthusiastic Line Cook and Baker to join our kitchen team. You will play an important part in preparing high quality food, keeping the kitchen running smoothly, and creating a great experience for our guests. The right person enjoys working around food, understands kitchen safety, and is comfortable in a fast moving environment.
Duties
Line Cook Responsibilities:
Measure, weigh, and prepare ingredients for baking according to recipes and production schedules.
Mix batters, doughs, and fillings as directed by the baker or pastry chef.
Portion and shape dough for breads, pastries, and cookies.
Prepare baking trays, pans, and molds for production.
Assist with moving products in and out of ovens, cooling racks, and storage areas.
Label and store prepared items properly to maintain freshness and food safety.
Keep prep areas clean, sanitized, and organized throughout the shift.
Baker Responsibilities:
Design and decorate platters according to owner specifications and preferences, ensuring high-quality presentation.
Prepare and bake a variety of breads, cakes, pastries, and desserts according to established recipes and standards.
Decorate cakes and other baked goods with precision and creativity, using piping, fondant, and other decorating techniques.
Prepare various cake batters, icings, and fillings while adhering to food safety standards.
Collaborate with management to understand their vision for special occasions, providing expert advice on design and flavor options.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area, following all health and safety regulations.
Package finished products for delivery or display, ensuring they are presented attractively.
