Duties

Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards Assist with menu planning and ingredient selection to optimize kitchen efficiency Ensure all food is prepared safely, adhering to food handling and sanitation guidelines Maintain cleanliness of workstations, equipment, and utensils throughout shifts Support food presentation to meet aesthetic standards for fine dining or catering events Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy hours Monitor inventory levels and communicate needs for restocking ingredients Follow all health and safety regulations to provide a safe working environment

Skills

Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and food service operations Strong knowledge of food safety protocols and proper food handling techniques Excellent knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation Background in dietary department or dietary aide experience is a plus Experience with menu planning, catering, or fine dining environments preferred Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen setting Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team Knowledge of the food industry standards and culinary best practices
