Reporting to the Manager Licensing & Registration, the Licensing Officer shall be responsible for assisting on-reserve charities with charitable gaming licensing processes: filling out applications, evaluating and processing applications applying IGR 'eligibility' and 'use of proceeds' policies, and issuance of licences to approved applicants. This individual will be required to monitor licensee budgets, event schedules and compliance with the applicable terms, conditions and policies.
The successful candidate will have a minimum grade 12 diploma, with at least two years administration experience in an office environment. Preference will be given to applicants with relevant post-secondary education and experience. This position requires ability to work with various individuals and organizations on matters related to charitable gaming licenses, particularly financial reporting, accounting or bookkeeping skills would be an asset.
A working knowledge of First Nations political and business structures will be a significant asset, as will unquestionable integrity, exceptional interpersonal skills, strong oral and written communication skills and proficiency in the use of all Microsoft office products.
As a condition of your employment you must obtain and be able to maintain a gaming employee certification of registration.
