Job Description

The Licensing & Parent Communication Coordinator plays a dual role at Aves, serving as both a senior teacher and a compliance & family relations coordinator. This role is crucial in ensuring that Aves operates in full compliance with licensing regulations while fostering strong parent communication and trust. The Licensing & Parent Communication Coordinator makes real-time decisions related to licensing compliance, documentation, and parent engagement, all while upholding Aves' philosophy and policies.

As a teacher, the Licensing & Parent Communication Coordinator is expected to be actively present on the floor with the children, engaging in mindful, meaningful interactions that support their development while maintaining a positive and professional demeanor. When in the classroom, the focus is on building relationships with children, supporting their learning, and ensuring a safe and stimulating environment that meets all licensing requirements.

This role is part of the coordinator team, focusing specifically on licensing compliance, regulatory documentation, and parent communication protocols.

The classroom you are assigned to continuously meets licensing requirements, including health and safety standards, child-to-teacher ratios, and proper documentation. Children's files are complete and up to date, ensuring readiness for inspections Parents receive clear and transparent communication regarding policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Minor parent conflicts (Level 1 concerns) are handled professionally and efficiently, providing teachers with support in navigating difficult conversations. Teachers receive guidance on enhancing parent updates and fostering strong teacher-parent relationships.
The Licensing & Parent Communication Coordinator sets the tone for professional and positive interactions with both staff and families, ensuring that all aspects of compliance, communication, and parent relations align with Aves' values, particularly that of compassion and care.

Key Responsibilities



Licensing Compliance & Regulatory Oversight Leads all licensing visits and inspections - When the licensing officer comes in, the Licensing & Parent Communication Coordinator is the primary point of contact for their classroom, responsible for: Ensures all staff in their classroom are knowledgeable about licensing expectations and where things are. Trains and updates staff regularly so that: Conducts routine compliance audits - Performs regular checks to ensure: Maintains organized records for easy accessibility - Ensures that: Responsible for managing all care plans for children in accordance with licensing regulations. This includes ensuring that care plans are properly initiated, effectively executed, and formally concluded. The Licensing & Parent Communication Coordinator must oversee and document each stage of the care plan process, including obtaining parent signatures at both the start and end of the plan. Parent Communication & Relationship Building Manages all parent communication regarding Aves' policies, licensing, and regulations, ensuring that families: Are well-informed about childcare policies, expectations, and updates. Receive clear, professional, and supportive responses to their concerns. Understand regulatory requirements that impact their child's care. Works closely with teachers to enhance parent relationships by: Leads parent meetings as needed, including:

Work Schedule & Compensation



This position requires flexibility and may involve working outside of regular operating hours to accommodate licensing documentation and compliance reviews, family meetings and conflict resolution support, urgent licensing or operational concerns (ie., completing incident reports and follow up with licensing officer), ensuring proper record-keeping and file maintenance, contacting parents to see how their child is doing when they are ill and encouraging them to follow our Health and Wellness Policy, etc. Competitive compensation package

Qualifications, Skills & Character Requirements



ECE Certification or higher level of education in a related field. Minimum of 3 years of experience in an early childhood education setting, with a focus on compliance, parent communication,

OR Minimum of 1 year of experience working at Aves, demonstrating strong knowledge of the center's policies and philosophy.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $26.00-$30.00 per hour
