Do you have a passion for nursing? We have the position for you! We are seeking a motivated Licensed Practical Nurse with a dedication for delivering compassionate patient care to join our team in Primary Care.
Under the direction of the Director of Nursing, Prince Rupert & Queen Charlotte Islands, the Licensed Practical Nurse provides on-going services in a multi-disciplinary clinic setting to clients of ages with a variety of acute and chronic illnesses/diseases. The LPN works in accordance with the Standards of Practice of the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) and collaborates with members of the clinical and administrative team to ensure that patient set up and follow up are handled efficiently.
Primary Care Networks are partnerships between the Divisions of Family Practice representing BC's family physicians, the regional health authorities, the First Nations Health Authority (FNHA) and local community partners, along with other community providers such as nurse practitioners. All partners are working together in their local communities and collectively to redesign B.C.'s primary and community care system so that it works better for patients and health-care providers.

Qualifications
Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing LPN registrant.
2) two years recent acute care or community health nursing experience in a clinic setting.
Class 5 Driver's License.
Skills and Abilities:
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with patients, families, co-workers, member of the multi-disciplinary team and the public.
Ability to deal with others effectively.
Knowledge and competencies to work at full scope of practice as currently required by the CLPNBC including administering medications.
Ability to operate related equipment.
Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
