Position Overview

The Sherwood Park - Strathcona County Primary Care Network (PCN) is seeking a

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

to join a family medical clinic in Sherwood Park. This

temporary full-time role

(12 months) offers the opportunity to work to full scope in a collaborative primary care environment alongside physicians and allied health professionals.

This position is at a clinic in West Edmonton.

Primary Duties

Perform full-scope LPN duties including injections, wound care, Pap smears, and patient education (e.g., diabetes and prenatal support). Partner with patients and healthcare providers to develop and execute individualized care plans. Deliver support in managing chronic conditions and promoting overall wellness. Help guide patients through the healthcare system by identifying next steps and connecting them with appropriate services. Participate in health screening initiatives and quality improvement efforts within the clinic. Accurately document patient information and contribute to efficient clinic operations.

Qualifications

Education

: LPN diploma, active CLPNA registration, and current CPR/BCLS certification.

Experience

: Minimum of three years in nursing; experience in a primary care setting is preferred. Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) is an asset.

Skills

: Strong clinical knowledge, excellent communication, ability to manage time effectively, and a collaborative approach to care.
