Your Opportunity:Vegreville has an exciting opportunity for a Licensed Practice Nurse for their Home Care team! Located within the Vegreville Community Health Centre, you will work with a dynamic, supportive team and will have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of people in your community. Reporting to the Care Manager, Vegreville Home Care, you will utilize your strong assessment, organizational, and leadership skills to provide leadership and supervision of health care aides and deliver quality nursing care to clients in the community. The successful candidate will play a key role on the interdisciplinary team, collaborating in the delivery of holistic, client and family centre care.Description:As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you are part of an interprofessional health care team utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem solving and decision making skills. You will be guided by your education, experience, demonstrated skill level and AHS policies and procedures. You will play a key role in providing safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS.

Required Qualifications:Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). Additional Required Qualifications:Knowledge of nursing practice and standards. Excellent organizational skills and time management. Demonstrated and effective communication skills. Ability to actively participate in a collaborative approach to meeting health goals. Preferred Qualifications:Specialty modules in Gerontology and Community Care preferred. Community Nursing experience preferred. Familiarity with computer applications: Internet, Microsoft Office, Connect Care training an asset.
