Your Opportunity:

Home Care LPNs provide service to clients in the lodges & their homes in Spirit River & surrounding area. This position is currently assigned to lodges and community Experience in seniors\' health and Rai training is an asset. Candidate must be willing to change assignment as needed to service lodge and community clients. You must be willing to work alone and/or with limited supervision. You must be willing to work days/ evenings/weekends/stats/ on call. We are looking for a candidate who has a positive approach both with clients and peers. In addition to a competitive rate of pay, AHS currently has a Remote Retention Allowance in place to an annual maximum of $3,000. This allowance is non-pensionable and is payable on an hourly basis for all hours paid at the basic rate of pay.

As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you are part of an interprofessional health care team utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem solving and decision making skills. You will be guided by your education, experience, demonstrated skill level and AHS policies and procedures. You will play a key role in providing safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). Additional Required Qualifications:

Good communication, interpersonal and organizational skill to work independently and as a team. Preferred Qualifications:

Supportive Pathways/P.I.E.C.E. S course. Palliative Care course/experience. NVCI course. It\'s Your Move course. RAI/Meditech training, wound care.
