AHS has an exciting opportunity for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) who will have the opportunity to work within a dynamic environment that is designed to meet the needs of individuals who present with a combination of dementia syndrome and complex behavioural issues. Residents may exhibit challenging, unpredictable responsive behaviours, which require enhanced staffing expertise to provide care and oversight. The LPN position will be based out of the Enhanced Care Unit however will also involve working in Designated Supportive Living Level 4 Assisted Living when required. Reporting to the Care Manager, the LPN utilizes the nursing process, critical thinking, problem-solving and decision-making skills to provide care to individuals. Your success will come from creating partnerships and relationships with clients, families and coworkers that will lead to the best client outcomes and enhance the quality of life. In addition to a competitive rate of pay, AHS currently has a Remote Retention Allowance in place to an annual maximum of $3,000. This allowance is non-pensionable and is payable on an hourly basis for all hours paid at the basic rate of pay.
