Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Licensed Pharmacy Technician to join our pharmacy team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our Lafleche Compounding Pharmacy. This position requires a strong background in retail pharmacy settings, along with experience in compounding and medication administration. The Technician will work closely with pharmacists to support patient needs and maintain high standards of pharmacy practice.

Duties

Assist in the administration of medications under the supervision of licensed pharmacists. Provide direct patient care, ensuring comfort and safety during visite in the pharmacy. Maintain accurate records of patient information, including medical history and medication logs. Utilize medical terminology effectively to communicate with team members and document patient care activities. Support pharmacy operations by preparing medications, managing inventory, and assisting pharmacists as needed. Collaborate with healthcare staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes and adherence to care plans. Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance skills and knowledge within the healthcare field.

Experience

At least 1 year of experience in a pharmacy compounding environment. Licensed to practice in Ontario as a Pharmacy Technician (OCP) Experience as a pharmacy technician is a mandatory, showcasing familiarity with medication management processes. Being bilingual in french and english. Strong understanding of patient care practices and protocols. Proficiency in medical terminology to facilitate effective communication within the healthcare team. Demonstrated ability to administer medications safely and accurately, adhering to established guidelines. Pay: $26.00 per hour
