Pharmacy Technician
Job Description
We are looking for a licensed pharmacy technician who is dedicated to the profession and willing to take on the opportunity of helping to expand and grow in our small community pharmacy.
Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:
Performing the technical check on new and refilled prescriptions, including blister packs
Accept verbal prescription orders from prescribers
Device demonstration, including inhalers, glucometers, etc
Compounding of medications
Assisting patients with their medication needs and referring to the pharmacist as necessary
Injection administration, if qualified
Inventory management, including ordering medications and checking expiry dates
Processing and filling prescriptions if required
Job Types: Permanent, Part-time
Pay: $24.00-$27.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 - 24 per week
Licence/Certification:
pharmacy technician license from OCP (preferred)
Work Location: In person
