Role Overview

At ARS, we specialize in delivering tailored insurance solutions for the agricultural sector, offering both crop insurance and farm Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance. We are seeking a Farm Insurance Broker to manage a diverse portfolio of clients and to drive the expansion of our offerings to growers across Canada.

In this role, you will be responsible for selling and servicing crop insurance and farm P&C insurance products. You will manage all aspects of client relationships, including prospecting for new clients, policy renewals, mid-term policy changes, claims support, and preliminary risk assessment. By providing exceptional service and personalized coverage options, you will help ensure our clients' farms and agricultural businesses are well-protected against a variety of risks.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as a main point of contact for a portfolio of farm clients, responding to phone and email inquiries and explaining policy details and changes. Conduct thorough reviews of clients' insurance needs and provide tailored coverage recommendations for both crop and farm P&C. Manage the end-to-end renewal process, including the processing of all policy-related documents with accuracy and efficiency, ensuring timely communication and retention. Handle policy changes, endorsements, and updates with precision and accuracy. Ensure coverage accuracy, monitor renewals, issue binders, and identify gaps in coverage as needed. Provide proactive claims assistance and support clients throughout the claims process. Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities to enhance clients' coverage. Maintain a high level of product knowledge across the ARS suite of solutions. Collaborate with underwriters and carriers on behalf of your clients. Uphold ARS' commitment to making every farm interaction extraordinary. Other duties, or special projects as required.

Qualifications

Required: A valid level 1 insurance broker license (AIC, GICS, or equivalent). Minimum 3 years of experience in crop or farm P&C insurance in Western Canada. Strong understanding of agricultural operations and related insurance needs. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. Strong problem solving and customer service skills. Proven ability to manage a diverse portfolio with attention to detail and efficiency. Preferred: Experience working in a startup and/or small team environment.
