We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children. This role involves developing and implementing engaging curricula that promote the social, emotional, and cognitive development of children in our care.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with educational standards.
Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
Monitor and assess children's progress in various areas including literacy, math, and social skills.
Utilize effective behavior management techniques to maintain a positive classroom atmosphere.
Collaborate with parents and guardians to support children's development and address any concerns.
Provide individualized support for children with special needs or those requiring early intervention.
Mentor and support Level 1 and Level 2 staff to ensure high-quality learning experiences.
Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in early childhood education.
Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and other relevant documentation.
Skills
Strong knowledge of curriculum development and lesson planning tailored for early childhood education.
Experience working with children in various settings such as daycare, preschool, or private schools.
Familiarity with childhood development principles and behavior management strategies.
Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with children, parents, and colleagues.
Ability to implement literacy education strategies that foster reading readiness.
Experience in teaching physical education or incorporating physical activity into daily routines.
Knowledge of standardized testing practices as they relate to early childhood education.
Familiarity with Montessori methods or other innovative teaching approaches is a plus.

What we are looking for:
Level 3 Early Childhood Educator Certification
(Alberta).
Experience leading classrooms or mentoring educators.
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Passion for early learning and holistic child development.
CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain).
