Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Receptionist position located in South Surrey, BC, with the opportunity to train toward a Legal Assistant role within the firm.
As the first point of contact for clients, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming and professional environment. This position is ideal for someone who is organized, personable, and eager to build a long-term career in the legal field.
Key Responsibilities
Greet clients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner
Answer, screen, and direct phone calls and emails
Manage the firm's front desk and reception area, ensuring a professional and organized workspace
Schedule and confirm appointments for lawyers and clients
Maintain and update calendars, correspondence logs, and file records
Process incoming and outgoing mail and courier deliveries
Assist with basic administrative duties, including photocopying, scanning, and document organization
Provide support to legal assistants and lawyers as needed
Participate in training and mentorship programs to transition into a Legal Assistant role over time
Qualifications
Completion of secondary school required; post-secondary education or certificate in administration is an asset
Prior office or customer service experience is preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational ability
Professional demeanor and ability to maintain confidentiality
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure
Interest in pursuing a career in the legal field
Fluency in Punjabi and/or Hindi is an asset
