Project Manager Reporting to the Director of Legal Project Management, the Project Manager (PM) will help lead our project management efforts and strategies across the firm’s regions. This will entail acting as a project specialist and a change agent – supporting our lawyers in scoping projects, developing project plans, and managing their execution. Furthermore, the PM will train lawyers and other key stakeholders on project management best practices and our tools so they can become self-sufficient over time. Finally, the PM will have the opportunity to work closely with our Pricing team and provide analytical support as needed on strategies that help the firm maximize profits while minimizing inefficiencies. Primary Responsibilities
  • Lead the initial discovery project phase in order to adequately understand scope and define key project assumptions, milestones, deliverables, and fees / pricing.
  • Develop detailed work plans, identify risks and define mitigation plans, resolve issues as they arise, and lead team meetings.
  • Liaise with various teams utilizing interpersonal, analytical, problem solving, influencing, facilitation, organizational, prioritization, decision making, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Report on project success criteria results, metrics, and various management activities.
  • Provide team leadership by working closely with other leads to ensure project success within budget, timeline, and scope.
  • Deliver appropriate and effective executive level communication.
Required Knowledge and Experience
  • At least 3-4 years of project management experience, from a top tier consulting firm or project-based function within a large enterprise.
  • Proven track record in a client-service environment including exposure to clients and ability to lead project teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, analytics, strategy, marketing, or other closely related areas. MBA preferred. PMP certification a plus.
  • Proven background in business analysis and requirements gathering.
  • Strong presentation skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills with an ability to succinctly get your point across to busy stakeholders
  • Strong data analysis skills and able to work with large sets of data in Excel or other data modelling tools
  • Willingness to take on varying roles & responsibilities based on needs and objectives across the Legal Project Management team and the Pricing team
