We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Legal Assistant for a Temporary fixed contract during a staff member's holiday. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various areas of law, with a focus on real estate conveyancing and corporate law. This role requires excellent organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and a commitment to providing exceptional administrative support within a fast-paced law office environment.
Responsibilities
Draft, proofread, and review legal documents including land transfers and mortgages.
Manage filing systems and document management systems to ensure efficient retrieval of information.
Maintain accurate data entry records and clerical documentation for land transfers, mortgages, and corporate annual returns.
Coordinate schedules, appointments, and meetings for the lawyer while managing phone etiquette professionally.
Provide executive administrative support as needed, ensuring all tasks are completed in a timely manner.
Qualifications
Proven experience in a legal setting with a focus on land transfers and mortgages, and corporate annual returns.
Familiarity with esilaw and LDD software is advantageous.
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in document review.
Prior paralegal experience or relevant legal administrative experience is highly desirable.
