Leasing Coordinator

The Leasing Coordinator is responsible for managing the rental process for residential or commercial properties, requiring strong communication, negotiation, organizational, and customer service skills to ensure the leasing process runs smoothly and tenants are satisfied.
Responsibilities
Respond to inquiries from potential tenants via phone, email, and in-person.
Schedule and conduct property tours to showcase available units.
Provide detailed information about property features, lease terms, and community amenities.
Assist in the creation and distribution of marketing materials (online listings, social media posts).
Ensure property listings are up-to-date and effectively presented on various platforms.
Collaborate to implement targeted advertising strategies.
Process rental applications, conduct initial screenings, and verify tenant information.
Perform background, credit, and reference checks in compliance with company policies.
Prepare, review, and execute lease agreements with new tenants.
Collect and process lease-related fees and deposits.
Maintain accurate tenant files and leasing documentation in property management software.
Track lease expirations and manage renewals or turnover processes.
Generate leasing reports and analytics for management review.
Coordinate with other departments (maintenance, accounting) to address tenant needs and property issues.
Serve as a primary point of contact for tenant concerns related to leasing.
Build and maintain positive relationships with tenants to foster long-term occupancy.
Ensure all leasing activities comply with fair housing laws, local regulations, and company policies.
Stay informed about market trends and competitive rental rates.
Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Assist with organizing community events or resident engagement programs.
Support property inspections and assist with move-in/move-out processes.
Contribute to team meetings and share feedback to improve overall operations.
Flexible scheduling is required (evenings & Weekends).
Required Skills & Experience
1-3 years' experience in leasing, property management, real estate or customer service.
Experience in sales, marketing, or hospitality is a strong asset.
Background in using property management software is beneficial.
Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal & written) required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
