We are currently seeking qualified candidates to join our Winnipeg office for the following position
Job Title: Residential Leasing Administrator
The Residential Leasing Administrator provides support to the Residential Property Management department by interviewing and conducting checks (rental reference and credit) for residential applicants. Our Residential Leasing department is an integral part of our front line service team, dealing with all applicants and executing leases with all new Tenants.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Collect and record applications from prospective Tenants
Perform credit checks and rental history checks
Assess all information to approve or disapprove client's application to rent
Prepare new leases and meet with applicants and new Tenants to execute tenancy agreements
Enter new leases or changes as required into Yardi Property Management software
Prepare, track and record renewal of tenancy agreements
Contact caretakers and marketing team as needed with new tenancies and changes to existing Tenant files
The successful candidate must have the following qualifications:
Strong computer skills including all Microsoft Office applications
Familiarity with property management / accounting software (Yardi) would be an asset
Highly organized and team oriented
Able to deal with difficult people and situations
Above average written and verbal communication skills
Familiarity with the Residential Tenancies Act and or PIPEDA would be an asset
Have experience in reading and comprehending residential lease terms and conditions
Ability to prepare, organize and maintain both electronic and hard copy filing systems
Must have the ability to work extended hours as necessary to complete job duties
