Key Accountabilities:
  • Reviews and evaluates training initiatives to ensure they are consistent with the direction of the organization.
  • Partners with business leaders and critical stakeholders to understand their learning and development objectives to inform a solutions roadmap. Focuses on deliverables and business priorities. Manages expectations of service and understands key performance drivers.
  • Models excellent service by establishing goals and implementation plans to achieve high quality deliverables. Monitors progress, manages risk and confirms key stakeholders are kept informed about progress and expected outcomes.
  • Demonstrates high levels of professional knowledge and quickly assimilates new knowledge. Keeps up-to-date with current learning and development trends.
  • Conducts research to provide recommendations which can be implemented in programs/initiatives.
  • Consults with senior leaders to gain sponsorship, approval, and engagement in executing the determined learning and development strategy.
  • Develops, maintains, and facilitates training programs to support employee career growth and development.
  • Measures and analyzes the effectiveness of training through ROI assessment.
  • Measures and assesses the transfer of knowledge to participants.
  • Supports the development, implementation, and maintenance of departmental initiatives/programs.
  • Supports the implementation of the established annual business plan for the department.
  • Remains current on organizational practices, policies, procedures and legislative requirements; identifying areas requiring clarification or improvement and referring to management for further action.
  • Supports the development and promotion of the organization\xe2\x80\x99s culture, mission, vision, and values through course content and facilitation.
  • Acts as a resource to other staff within the department.
  • Builds collaborative working relationships with staff external to the department and external networks within area of specialization.
Experience and/or Educational Requirements:
  • 4 - 6 years experience in adult learning, human resources, or project management.
  • Completed a relevant degree or designation program.
  • Approximately 2+ years of experience in providing advisory services in a number of the following change enablement areas: Change Management, Learning Strategies, Training and Development, Instructional Design, Stakeholder Management.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered.
Skills and Competencies:
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office applications and ability to learn other programs; experience with Articulate applications is an asset.
  • Excellent communications skills; both written and verbal.
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills.
  • Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to work effectively and build relationships at all levels in an organization.
  • Ability to manage diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to identify root causes.
  • Ability to work independently in an unstructured and fast paced environment.
  • Works collaboratively in team environment (knows when to lead and when to follow).
  • High level of motivation and a self-starting attitude.
  • Ability to think outside the box, thrives on new challenges.
