Working Arrangement Hybrid The opportunity Key Accountabilities (Allocate the percent of total working time spending on each accountability, which should add up to 100%) Instructional Design (80%)
  • Design custom interactive and engaging online and blended learning solutions including short animations for a variety of topics that meet Manulife design quality and brand standards
  • Apply instructional design theories and best practice, keeping up to date with L&D trends and develop innovative ideas for online resources
  • Design the evaluation of all learning solutions to ensure they drive business performance and deliver return on investment
  • Responsible for the design elements of projects, creating an amazing employee learning experience throughout
  • Creating gold standard deliverables that always represent the employee\xe2\x80\x99s best interests, and exceed the company expectations, whether you\xe2\x80\x99re creating ILT for the classroom or a virtual delivery
  • Continually develop and create new ideas and solutions for learning content and learning channels
  • Support with the design of learning campaigns, communications and collateral
  • Responsible for the design of all learning content to the required Manulife standards
  • Work at the required pace to design world class learning experiences
  • Provide support to the Learning Experience Consultant when required on storyboarding
  • Utilize a variety of authoring and design software to develop e-learning modules
Learning Partnering (20%)
  • Develop, analyze and challenge learning aims and objectives, working with Subject Matter Experts (SMES) to design solutions that align with these
  • Engage with internal stakeholders and Learning Business Partners to plan and execute projects
- Job Requirement (Knowledge, Skills & Competencies):
  • Extensive experience as a Learning Designer with a sound understanding of learning theories and their application in Learning Design
  • Instructional design experience and proven track record of creating ILT solutions for corporate employees that are delivered both face to face and virtually
  • Exceptional writing / storyboarding skills and outstanding attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills \xe2\x80\x93 interacting confidently and building relationships across all areas of the organization
  • A willingness to learn, explore and constantly bring new ideas to the table
  • Financial services experience is an asset
  • Experience working with reinforcement tools such as Axonify is an asset
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritize workload and adapt to changing circumstances
  • Energy to work as a self-starter, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multi-sited team
  • Fully bilingual English and French (written and spoken)

Salary & Benefits The annual base salary for this role in the primary location of Montreal, Quebec is expected to be between $55,725.00 CAD - $92,875.00 CAD. If you are applying for this role outside of the primary location, please contact recruitment@manulife.com for the salary range for your location. The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training. Employees also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn incentive compensation tied to business and individual performance.
