The Learning & Development Coordinator supports the company's growth by developing and coordinating soft-skill and foundational skill training programs across restaurant operations, office teams, and warehouse staff. This role ensures that employees at all levels receive consistent, practical, and engaging training that improves communication, teamwork, customer service, leadership, workflow efficiency, and overall professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with store operations and department leaders to identify training needs and performance gaps.
- Develop or update training materials including presentations, job aids, role-plays, guidelines, and e-learning content tailored to each operational area.
- Provide basic soft skill training sessions for different teams, adjusting the delivery style based on the audience and job function (store, office, warehouse).
- Support and facilitate leadership development initiatives for supervisors and managers across all departments.
- Track training participation, completion, and outcomes in the training system.
- Collect and analyze feedback from trainees, managers, and HR partners to enhance training effectiveness.
- Other tasks assigned by line manager.
Qualifications
- Diploma or bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Education, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 1-2 years of experience in training, L&D, HR, operations coordination, or related roles.
- Strong communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to engage and train diverse audiences (frontline employees, warehouse teams, office staff).
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple training schedules.
- Proficient in MS Office, Google Workspace, or similar platforms.
- Experience in F&B, retail, logistics, or office administration environments is an asset.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in chain restaurant operations (e.g., McDonald's, Starbucks or similar) is considered a strong asset.
Knowledge of food safety standards (e.g., FoodSafe, ServSafe)
Experience supporting new store openings
Mandarin speaking if preferred
