BIOVECTRA Inc. is a leading bio-science business in Prince Edward Island and Nova Scotia, focused on contract manufacturing and product development of active pharmaceutical ingredients, pharmaceutical intermediates, and bioreagents.

BIOVECTRA Inc. has an opening for a Learning & Development Associate. This is a permanent, full-time position located in Charlottetown, PEI.

The candidate will be responsible for:

• Design and deliver instructor-led, virtual instructor-led, and e-learning training courses in collaboration with departments, across the organization.
• Produce and facilitate learning experiences for BIOVECTRA\'s Leadership team.
• Ideate and build development strategies for current employees, including training curriculums meant to advance learners towards growth and promotional opportunities.
• Manage and develop training materials and training structures across the organization.
• Set training goals and targets at the group level, the site level, and the individual level
• Lead regular team meetings alongside the Trainer\'s for each site to make sure trainers are meeting targets, and are providing accurate updates on progress, challenges, and successes
• Assign training material tasks as needed, and participates in hands-on training when necessary
• Responsible for ensuring that the vast majority of onboards successfully complete training in a timely manner to provide the teams with the resources they need, when they need them
• Collaborate with departmental teams to identify needs, challenges, gaps and builds training strategies accordingly
• Empower SMEs across the organization to take control and develop eLearning training material
• Build team trust and foster a respectful, efficient team atmosphere.
• Oversee learning and development activities and ongoing projects alongside the Director, Organizational Development
• Analyze current processes and systems and make changes, set new goals, and lead new initiatives at the site level, the training group level, and the individual level.
• Adhere to BIOVECTRA\'s Health and Safety Policy as outlined in CP0010 Occupational Health and Safety Policy, Statements of Principle, and Responsibilities.
• Additional duties assigned, based on business needs and the department supervisor\'s request.

The successful candidate for this position should have:

• Post-Secondary Degree, Diploma or Certification .
• Post-Secondary training in Adult Education.
• 3 years of professional experience in learning and development with experience in content authoring, e-learning development, and facilitation.
• Knowledge of learning and development in a manufacturing (preferably cGMP) environment
• Knowledge of Adult Education and Learning Principles
• Ability to build, develop, manage and facilitate training programs and materials.
• Working knowledge of online and e-learning platforms and techniques
• Consistently demonstrate leadership, influence, communication, presentation, and facilitation skills
• Well organized, self-starter, autonomous and works with a sense of urgency to create and innovate in a fast paced and ever-changing environment.
• Familiar in LMS and QMS tools and communication platforms (Ceridian Dayforce, Microsoft 365, Easygenerator, SCORM, MasterControl).
