We are seeking a Lead Verifier (GHG Emissions) to join our Western Canada EHS Compliance Team, based in one of the following offices: Vancouver, BC; Calgary, AB; or Edmonton, AB.

Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:

• Complete the responsibilities of Lead Verifier under ISO14064/65
• Working with junior, intermediate and senior staff in all aspects of project work including documentation review. Greenhouse gas emission calculations, reporting, and verification
• Review, understand and interpret provincial and federal acts and regulations
• Data compilation interpretation and evaluation against relevant regulations
• Assist with air emission calculations and re-calculations
• Conduct site visits and field activities for projects within and outside of Alberta, British Columbia, and Saskatchewan
• Work with GHD\'s Air & Noise Service Line, consisting of over 100 engineers and scientists across North America
• Support where required on future energy and sustainability projects including biogas, hydrogen conversion, CCUS, ESG

What you will bring to this team:

• Bachelor\'s degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Industrial Process Engineering or other relevant engineering
• Experience as a Lead Verifier under ISO14064/65 (or qualified to become Lead Verifier through previous work under the standard)
• Experience with verifications under regulations in BC (GGIRCA, CGIRP, CIIF); AB (TIER); SK (SKOBPS); and/or Federal OBPS.
• Understanding of chemical process, unit operations, heat and mass balance
• Managing multiple tasks while maintaining a high degree of attention to detail in a consulting environment
• Knowledge of Alberta, BC, and/or Sask regulations pertaining to air and noise (i.e. Environmental Protection and Enhancement Act, TIER)
• Must be flexible with project types and responsibilities
• Must hold a valid class 5 driver\'s license
