We are seeking an experienced
Lead Instructor
to teach across multiple FS8 locations and support the execution of instructor operations and brand standards at our West District location. Reporting directly to the
Head Instructor
, this role is ideal for a senior instructor who enjoys leadership, mentorship, and operational responsibility while remaining hands-on with teaching.
Key Responsibilities
Instruction & Client Experience
Teach group classes across multiple FS8 locations, including Reformer Pilates, Mat Pilates, Tone, and Yoga-based formats
Deliver safe, effective, and engaging classes aligned with FS8 brand, athletic, and education standards
Demonstrate proper and safe use of all equipment, including Reformer, Chair, Springboard, dumbbells, Magic Circle, foam rollers, and other props
Arrive early for all scheduled classes to prepare the space and equipment
Visually inspect equipment prior to each class and report maintenance or replacement needs
Maintain studio cleanliness and ensure equipment is returned to studio standards
Instructor Leadership & Development
Support the Head Instructor in executing instructor onboarding, training, and development initiatives
Provide mentorship, coaching, and constructive feedback to instructors
Track and review instructor performance and proficiency
Support instructor workshops and training sessions based on studio needs and client feedback
Participate in monthly instructor calls and share key learnings with the team
Serve as a role model for professionalism and FS8 culture
Scheduling & Operational Support
Work with the Head Instructor to support schedule execution and instructor coverage
Assist with managing sub requests and schedule adjustments
Help implement and maintain instructional procedures and updates
Maintain confidentiality in all instructor and operational matters
Brand & Community Engagement
Represent FS8 consistently and professionally across all locations
Participate in studio promotions, events, and community initiatives
Confidently communicate the benefits of FS8 and what sets the brand apart
Schedule & Availability
Full-time teaching role with early mornings, evenings, and weekend availability
Ability to teach and support across multiple studio locations is required
Qualifications
Group Fitness Certification - Pilates Certification a Plus (Mat & Reformer)
Minimum 2 years of Pilates teaching experience
CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
Strong anatomical knowledge and safety-first approach
Experience mentoring or supporting instructor development
Professional, reliable, organized, and confident communicator
