Pastor Position at Fairview Baptist Church in Vancouver

Fairview Baptist Church, located in Vancouver's Fairview neighborhood, is looking to hire a passionate and committed permanent part-time (with the potential to increase as the congregation grows) pastor to lead our congregation.

We are a small but vibrant, welcoming church. We believe that we have been called together as a community of faith to bring glory to God through worship, by caring for and encouraging others in love, by introducing people to a relationship with Jesus, by committing to the will of God in our lives and by serving those beyond ourselves. We are seeking a pastor who can lead us in growing spiritually and can help us to identify and implement our vision for the church's growth and meaningful community outreach.

Key Responsibilities:

- Deliver sermons that nourish and engage our congregation.

- Provide spiritual leadership and pastoral care.

- Foster a culture of unity, connection, and engagement that supports a vibrant community life.

- Collaborate with church leadership to set and achieve growth and mission targets.

- Work with church staff and volunteers to ensure smooth operation of church activities and events.

Qualifications:

- Ordained minister with a theological degree (MDiv or MA) or equivalent qualifications.

- Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to inspire and engage.

- Passionate about discipleship and spiritual growth.

Salary Range: $41,400 - $52,000 based on 3 days/week.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $41,400.00-$52,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 16 - 24 per week
