We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Lead Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in food preparation, kitchen operations, and menu execution, with a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences. As a Lead Line Cook, you will oversee daily kitchen activities, ensure food quality and safety standards are met, and mentor junior staff to uphold our high culinary standards. Responsibilities
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards
Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen line, ensuring smooth workflow during service
Maintain high standards of food safety, sanitation, and hygiene in compliance with health regulations
Assist in menu planning and ingredient selection to ensure quality and consistency
Supervise and train kitchen staff, including line cooks and dietary aides, fostering teamwork and skill development
Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to management
Ensure proper food handling techniques are followed at all times
Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new dishes and improve existing menu items
Uphold excellent customer service by ensuring timely and accurate food delivery
Experience
Proven experience in food industry roles such as food preparation, or restaurant cooking, with a focus on fast paced line cooking in an open kitchen or catering.
Strong knowledge of food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures
Demonstrated proficiency in culinary skills including knife skills, meal preparation, and plating techniques
Experience in menu planning, food service operations, and kitchen management
Prior leadership or supervisory experience in a culinary setting is highly desirable
