MUST HAVE STONE COUNTERTOP and VERTICAL STONE SURFACE (shower, fireplace, etc.) INSTALLATION EXPERIENCE

The Lead Installer/Fabricator is responsible to lead the installation team to successful installations.

Required Skills

Install countertops, vanities, sinks, bath surrounds, fireplace hearths, mantels, surrounds and other surface products. Onsite Fabrication/Polishing/Repair of Quartzite / Granite / Dolomite /Marble / Soapstone / Other Natural Stone / Quartz / Porcelain / Sintered Stone / Ultra Compacts / Solid Surface Complete invisible or near invisible seams. Load/unload A-frames manually and using lift assists Document completed installs and communicate any required follow-ups Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to understand project specifications Utilize hand tools effectively to complete various installation tasks. Apply caulking where required to ensure a finished look Lead and Work co-operatively with team members to ensure projects are complete on time and meet customer requirements. Schedule daily tasks in a manner that ensures all scheduled installations are completed. Complete daily installation of assigned jobs in a professional manner Follow Safety protocols and maintain clean work environment at all times. Ensure tools are neatly and properly stored and maintained. Advise supervisor when tools require replacement or repair. Maintain vehicle maintenance tracking and provide reporting as required Operate forklift Participating in employee performance assessments Responsible for ensuring equipment and machines are functional and ready to operate Responsible for machine scheduled maintenance. Be part of a work environment that promotes success, teamwork and continuous improvement Responsible for returning tools and equipment to designated storage area Adheres to all Health & Safety Rules and Regulations Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor/Management

Qualifications

5 years stone installation experience Valid Drivers License with clean driving abstract Must clear criminal background check Attention to detail Communication Skills being able to clearly direct and delegate to helper

Physical Demands

Abiility to stand and work for 10 hours or more per day Ability to sit for 4 hours or more per day Able to lift more than 45kg (100 lbs) unassisted and carry as required Ability to go up and down stairs while carrying Ability to walk and carry at the same time and push/pull as required Ability to work in an environment conducive to the manufacture of man made and natural stone products
Health and Safety Responsibilities

Must complete and attend the mandatory trainings assigned or given by the management. Must conduct a pre-inspection for equipment as required. Use or wear prescribed Personal Protective Equipment in compliance with MOL. Work safely in accordance with the company's or the client's health and safety policy and program and with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and applicable regulations. Participate in solving health and safety problems.

Pay: $28.00-$35.00 per hour
