Lead Graphic Designer Maison Battat Inc. \xe2\x80\x93 Montreal QC At Battat, we\xe2\x80\x99re in the business of making kids happy. We are currently looking for a talented and motivated Lead Graphic Designer with a creative approach to design while maintaining consistency to brand guidelines. Responsibilities:

• Oversee packaging artwork ensuring design exemplifies existing brand guidelines, while working closely with the creative team to ensure design integrity and consistency throughout all communications;
• Create and lead the visual identity of brands, corporate branding / collateral and confident in giving direction to the rest of the team;
• Review the workflow between the art department and product design department, ensuring cohesion and precision for all artwork;
• Generate fresh concepts for various types of projects including packaging design, catalogue layout, logo design etc.;
• Review graphic designer\xe2\x80\x99s artwork drafts to ensure quality control while providing guidance and layout ideas;
• Prepare files to meet pre-press, print production and web specifications and timelines;
• File and organize artwork in multiple databases;
• Analyze the department processes and optimize to resolve inefficiencies;
• Bring ideas for new tools or software to enhance productivity and improve overall Art department output quality.

Skills, Competencies & Requirements:

• Excellent knowledge of English to deal with the foreign divisions;
• Advanced level in Adobe Suite CC (specifically Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
• Basic knowledge of MS Office;
• Experience with a DAM software
• Strong working knowledge of Mac platforms;
• Experience with packaging design;
• Has a working understanding of the use of colors, inks and different paper types and qualities;
• Able to multitask effectively and manage priorities;
• Autonomy, attention to detail and team spirit;
• Strong sense of responsibility;
• Willingness and flexibility to take on special projects and tasks;
• Ability to adapt to a constantly changing and dynamic environment.

Experience:

• Minimum 3+ years of graphic design \xe2\x80\x93 specifically print

Nous recherchons actuellement un(e) Concepteur (trice)Graphique Principal(e) qui est talentueux (euse) et motiv\xc3\xa9(e) avec une approche cr\xc3\xa9ative tout en restant conforme aux lignes directrices de la marque. Responsabilit\xc3\xa9s :

• Superviser les illustrations d\'emballage en s\'assurant que la conception refl\xc3\xa8te les directives de la marque existante, tout en travaillant en \xc3\xa9troite collaboration avec l\'\xc3\xa9quipe cr\xc3\xa9ative pour assurer l\'int\xc3\xa9grit\xc3\xa9 et la coh\xc3\xa9rence de la conception dans toutes les communications ;
• Cr\xc3\xa9er et animer l\'identit\xc3\xa9 visuelle des marques, branding corporatif/collat\xc3\xa9ral et confiant(e) pour donner des directives au reste de l\xe2\x80\x99\xc3\xa9quipe;
• Examiner le flux de travail entre le d\xc3\xa9partement artistique et le d\xc3\xa9partement du produit et assurer la coh\xc3\xa9sion et la pr\xc3\xa9cision de toutes les illustrations;
• G\xc3\xa9n\xc3\xa9rer de nouveaux concepts pour divers types de projets, y compris la conception d\'emballages, la mise en page de catalogues, la conception de logos, etc. ;
• Examiner les \xc3\xa9bauches d\'illustrations du graphiste pour assurer le contr\xc3\xb4le de la qualit\xc3\xa9 tout en fournissant des conseils et des id\xc3\xa9es de mise en page ;
• Pr\xc3\xa9parer des fichiers pour respecter les sp\xc3\xa9cifications et les \xc3\xa9ch\xc3\xa9anciers de pr\xc3\xa9presse, de production imprim\xc3\xa9e et Web;
• Classer et organiser des illustrations dans de multiples bases de donn\xc3\xa9es,
• Analyser les processus du d\xc3\xa9partement et optimiser pour r\xc3\xa9duire les inefficacit\xc3\xa9s ;
• Apporter des id\xc3\xa9es pour de nouveaux outils ou logiciels afin d\'am\xc3\xa9liorer la productivit\xc3\xa9 et am\xc3\xa9liorer la qualit\xc3\xa9 globale de la production du d\xc3\xa9partement d\'art.

Connaissances, Comp\xc3\xa9tences et Exigences :

• Excellente connaissance de l\'anglais pour communiquer avec les divisions \xc3\xa9trang\xc3\xa8res ;
• Niveau expert avec Adobe Suite CC. (particuli\xc3\xa8rement Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop et InDesign) Dreamweaver est un atout;
• Connaissance de base de MS Office;
• Solide connaissance pratique des plates-formes Mac;
• Exp\xc3\xa9rience avec la conception de l\xe2\x80\x99emballage;
• Capable d\'effectuer plusieurs t\xc3\xa2ches et de g\xc3\xa9rer efficacement les priorit\xc3\xa9s ;
