What are we looking for?

We are looking for a friendly and energetic lead facilitator to assist apprentices in their Steamoji missions, inspire confidence and enthusiasm in STEM subjects, and provide a safe and fun atmosphere for children to experiment and develop a growth mindset. We inspire children with a STEM accredited curriculum by working on things like 3D design/printing, robotics, coding, digital arts, engineering, and other hands-on fun and creative activities.

Are you experienced in working with school aged children? Do you enjoy teaching and building problem solving skills in young engineering minds? Have you mentored youth? This could be the role for you!

Responsibilities

:

Take a leadership role and manage the centre operations Assist with the deployment of the Steamoji curriculum Review instructional videos before each session Assist and guide apprentices during the making process of Steamoji projects Assist apprentices with tools and equipment and ensure safety in the process Work with 4-6 apprentices to complete missions, keeping an eye on their progress Be a team player with our other facilitators to ensure everyone feels supported Contribute to company culture and Steamoji core values Create and share video artifacts and provide feedback to parents Demonstrate initiative and engagement with our curriculum and academy

Qualifications

:

? Basic knowledge of coding and technology, or the ability to quickly pick up basic concepts is considered an asset

? Energetic, fun and enthusiastic individual with a passion for working with children

? Ability to communicate effectively with both children and adults

? Team player who works well with others in a collaborative setting

? Interest in technology and willingness to learn basic coding

First aid considered an asset. Candidate to provide a clear Vulnerable Sector Criminal Record Check prior to starting.

Job Types: Part-time, Casual

Pay: $15.00-$18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 20 per week
