What are we looking for?

We are looking for a friendly and energetic lead facilitator to assist apprentices in their Steamoji missions, inspire confidence and enthusiasm in STEM subjects, and provide a safe and fun atmosphere for children to experiment and develop a growth mindset. We educate children with a STEM accredited curriculum by working on missions with 3D printing, robotics, coding, graphic design and other hands-on fun and creative activities.

Are you experienced in working with school aged children? Do you enjoy teaching and building problem solving skills in young engineering minds? Have you mentored youth? This could be the role for you.

Responsibilities

:

Assist with the deployment of the Steamoji curriculum Take a leadership role and manage the centre operations Contribute to company culture and Steamoji core values Review instructional videos before each session Work with 4-6 apprentices to complete missions Assist and guide apprentices during the making process of Steamoji projects Assist apprentices with tools and equipment and ensure safety in the process Create and share video artifacts and provide feedback to parents

Qualifications

:

Basic knowledge of coding and technology or ability to quickly pick up basic concepts considered an asset Energetic, fun and enthusiastic individual with a passion for working with children Ability to communicate effectively with both children and adults Team player who works well with others in a collaborative setting Interest in technology and willingness to learn basic coding
Job Types: Part-time, Casual

Pay: $15.00-$17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 20 per week
